I fell in love with this book!
The book itself is also lovely and stylish💕.
It has nice smooth and slightly peach skin texture, and has lots of lovely photos.
Patterns and finished shapes are so pretty and neat! I mean they have a beauty of simplicity.
I quite like them. (I finished 2 patterns from this book)
And also, all patterns have seam allowances.
Kaste Cocktail dress💕
Fabric: sketchy 52% cotton 48% linen. 138cm wide (I bought 1.5 m) from Merchant and Mills
Ruska tunic🌟
I quite like the whole shape and the sleeves design. It is slightly shapes oval toward bottom when we wear it.
I made 2 alternations:
neck line → I adopted Ruska T-shirt version
Vent front → back and shortened
Fabric: CHECK&STRIPE'(one of good fabric shops in Japan. they ship overseas. Internet site is only in Japanese)s original French span fraise Mustard.
This knit fabric is high quality. Easy to sew and comfortable to wear.
And Check & Stripe has very nice color variation.(It is sold out at the moment but I guess this shop will sell them again next Autumn season!)
I moved the vent toward back center and shortened the vent incision in order to hide hip enough!
The only thing which I wasn't happy about this book is the illustrations are not enough for me.
I needed to read repeatedly until I understood. Because I am not a native English speaker, without illustrations, it was bit tough to image the process by reading the lots of names of parts like "the shoulder and side edges of the shell and facing, the bottom edges of upper front and back pieces, and the top edges of the lower front and back pieces. etc."
However for long-experienced sewers it wouldn't be any problem.
Leggings
I made a leggings for my baby with the same fabric
Pattern : self-drafted
Fabric: CHECK&STRIPE's original French span fraise Mustard and 100 % cotton knit off-white.
White one is made of the fabric from a different shop.
